When I was younger, I had pretty bad acne. It wasn't TERRIBLE but it was noticeable and it was a problem. Although it has largely cleared up it is still there and it is obvious that I, "used to have skin issues," as one lovely girl put it too me.....

I don't get pimples/white heads (lovely!) anymore but I still have:

EXCESSIVE reddening of the facial skin, and
large visible pores on my face mainly around the checks.

I am now 23 years old and am quite fed up of it.

I am currently using "Brasivol" as a facial scrub and Tretinoin which is a vitamin A based gel.

I'm interested in hearing solutions from all areas, such as surgery at stratospheric costs to cheap and easy over the counter stuff!

Thanks guys! Cheesy

I haven't heard of the product you mention but even the name sounds harsh. It sounds like you may have rosacea ( sorry, I can't link yet but you can Google it) and do need to be very careful of overstimulating the skin with scrubs of any kind.

Due to the issues you have described with your skin, you may have compromised the natural lipid barrier of your skin and will need to rebuild that before going any further.

If you look for products that contain hyaluronic acid, this will help greatly without creating any oiliness in your skin.

I agree with your view here mineral or vitamins are necessary to grow healthy but I think if you take them as a food they gives your skin 3 times more.
