I hate to talk about it, let alone think about it..but ugh. i'm 21. every time i shower-clumps of hair fall out..I think i've lost more hair than an average older woman has. it disgusts me.
well-given a short breakdown; -i'm not really a big meat eater..but in the last couple months have included meat into my diet. I have been taking hair supplements for about a year now. It must be somewhat genetic, but still.... .. . any other suggestions? things i should be or should not be doing?

I would definitely recommend taking a good multivitamin and make sure that you are getting proper nutrition if you haven't been eating meat etc.

best hair loss tip is massaging the scalp with your fingers before going to bed for about 10 mins. this increases the blood supply of the roots.

I also experienced extreme hair loss, that was because I get my hair rebonded and I cut my hair very short and now I am still experiencing a little hair loss but not as worse as before.
I am regularly massaging my hair before taking a shower and before bed.
I also prevent the use of too much hair products that can harm my roots. I even use baby shampoo before because it has gentle effect on hair.
And my mom says to drink a lot of water and as much as possible stay away from stress.

Drink 10-12 glasses of water daily and have a high protein diet with plenty of fruits, vegetables and dairy products. Since iron-deficiency anemia can also cause hair loss, make sure that you eat a well-balanced diet that includes a daily serving or two of iron-rich foods.

you can make one of the best homemade hair treatments with olive oil. And your hair will be more manageable and look healthier and you will have a clean scalp after an Olive Oil Hair treatment.
We all have different types of hair one has straight hair, the other wavy and of course curly hair. Olive oil and dreadlocks mix perfectly, it makes the dreadlocks soft but without the build-up standard hair-grease or pomades would do.
Extra virgin Olive Oil has a high level of mono-unsaturated fatty acids and antioxidant vitamin E that moisturizes, protects and nourishes. It makes your hair grow stronger and can be kept in a longer hairstyle without a must to cut. It is very beneficial for dry, damaged, or split hair. What to do against oily hair?
Also here can Olive oil help your hair, it needs to calm down that is why your hair is overproducing and making it oilier.

-Eat healthy foods, specially vitamins. Dont take too much. For example, too much of vitamins A and E, have been linked to hair loss.

Massage your scalp with your fingertips (not your nails) daily to stimulate and promote circulation to your scalp and reduce excess fallout.
Comb or brush your hair and scalp gently with about 100 - 200 strokes in the morning and at night. This helps break up hardened oils (sebum) that are clogging your hair follicles. Doing this alone has produced new hair growth.
When using blow dryers, always keep the heat a good distance from your scalp and hair. Avoid heating the scalp and hair excessively. Excessive heat will increase hair loss, and excess fallout.
Avoid getting hair creams, lotions, styling gels and sprays directly on the scalp as they will clog your hair follicles. Use a light hold spray if you must.
After swimming in a pool, shampoo your hair as soon as possible to remove any chlorine residue. Chlorine is extremely damaging to the hair and scalp.
Avoid over-exposing your hair and scalp to the wind and sun. Good hair care over a long period really makes a difference!
